Death Count - Throughout the days 3 days day 1 and day 3 were won by Meade and his defense but in day 2 Lee and his men were able to win and kill more union troops then confederate men. This was the battle that contained the most soldiers killed. This is why they call it the bloodiest battle fought during the civil war. It was also the battle where the most soldiers were injured or captured. A total of about 46,000 troops were killed, injured or captured. About 7,000 we're killed, and 26,000 injured. This was a huge amount of deaths and injuries compared to other battles.
